It's cold. And windy. And grey. And I guess I'm going to have to get used to this kind of weather. At least this grey weather will keep me inside and practicing! :)
See? Windy.
Last night we went with Trevor and Dot into Wye to eat at Joshan of Wye, an Indian restaurant. It was really, really good. I had lamb tandoori and naan and some dahl. Yum. Trevor's van only holds seven people, so he had to take Dot home and then come back to pick us up to take us to our dairies. When we got in the car, William Tell was playing on the radio, and we got in just in time to hear the flute solo. Except what we heard was an arrangement for organ. So just imagine Trevor + students driving around in a van listening to the William Tell Overture. Maybe you had to be there to understand just how funny the whole scene was... Too funny.
Adrian, Jhen Wei and I talked to June, our landlady, this morning and it looks like we'll have internet in the Old Dairy next Wednesday! Hooray! (Although, I have to admit that I kind of enjoyed not having internet at my fingertips.)
I went for another run this morning, this time for a much shorter distance than the first day's run. Sunday morning I ran out for about 15 minutes and back another 15 minutes, and I haven't really been able to move since then. Running is difficult here. It's beautiful, but extremely hilly and maybe at a higher elevation than Memphis? If I were still running cross country, this would be the perfect place to train.

What else? Practicing in my tiny room is not so bad. I'm in between Adrian's and Jhen Wei's rooms, so I'm surrounded by flute, but it's really not that distracting. I've already done about 3 hours of practicing and probably have another 2 or 3 ahead of me. I still need to practice some recorder. Yes, I'm learning recorder this month. Yikes.
Tomorrow we go to London for WIBB's concert and to do some sightseeing/shopping. Later on tonight Kristin, Adrian, and I are going to visit the pub that's fairly close to us.
Oh! And one more thing. There's an old church right across the road from the New Dairy. Adrian and I went inside yesterday afternoon and looked around. Saw some tombs inside dating back to the early fifteenth century, so the church is over 600 years old. We're allowed to go in whenever no one's inside to practice :) Awesome.

Ok, time to go back to my dairy to practice. Bye!
